Our hotel is located in the very centre of the city in the historical building at the intersection of Nevsky prospect and Vladimirsky prospect. There are no any other apartments in the building. We have got a lift and the entrance has been recently renovated. The total area of the hotel is 500m2 The hotel is equipped with a modern fire alarm system and three evacuation exits. Our security video systems control the entrance and the premises 24 hours a day. We have a contract with the security company “Titan” that guarantees the safety of our guests.

Rules of staying

Checking out time is 12.00

If you check out in the period between the noon and midnight you pay for each hour. (Don’t forget to notify the administrators)

If you leave later than 12 hours after original checking out time you will have to pay for a full night.

Checking in time is13.00

If you come to the hotel earlier you can always leave your luggage in a special luggage room and stay in the hotel or hang out in the city.

If there are rooms available you can check in from 9.00 till 12.00 without paying extra money.

If you want to check in from 6.00 you have to pay for each hour.

	If you are under 18 you can stay in the hostel only with an adult. It’s a law! The price for a room and the form of payment are set by the staff. The administration has the right to put another person in your room if there are beds available. Don’t take it as a limitation of your freedom because your new roommate could became your close friend.

The room in HOSTEL LIFE is provided:

For the citizens of Russia on presentation of
— - the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation;
— - foreign passport;
— - military ID for the officers and soldiers;
— для офицеров Вооруженных Сил Российской Федерации;

For foreign citizens on presentation of
— - passport or any other ID which is accepted by the Russian Federation according to international agreements;
— - migration card which is filled on arrival.

We have to remind you that you have to register yourself during 3 days after crossing the border of Russia. Our hotel provides this service. You will need to have a passport with the visa and a migration card.

Visa assistance

If you need our visa assistance you have to fill a special form “visa assistance needed” while booking a room. The information will be automatically sent on HOSTEL LIFE e-mail address.

You should wait for your request’s e-mail confirmation. It will be sent on your e-mail address (which you give in your booking application form) or our administrator will contact you as soon as possible). When you receive your visa assistance by fax or e-mail you will have to go to the nearest embassy or consulate of the Russian Federation.

Keeping luggage and other valuable possessions

	While staying in the hostel all guests are allowed to keep their bags in the luggage room for free. During 6 hours after checking out we offer free storing of your luggage. If your luggage is stored for more than 6 hours you have to pay for it according to the price. We strongly recommend storing your personal possessions and shoes in special individual lockers. You can leave your valuable possessions (money, documents, electronic and video\photo devices) in a safe. To do that you should talk to our administrator and fill the form. Administration is not responsible for the loss of things which are not locked in the room’s lockers or not given for storing in the safe or luggage room.

General rules

	If you leave your room, don’t forget to leave the key at the reception. If you lose the room or locker key you will have to pay a fine so be careful. If you accidentally break or damage any property you will have to pay for it, unfortunately. The adults with pupils are responsible for the behavior of their children so keep an eye on them all the time.

Rest and silence mode

Everybody who travels and stays in hotels knows that people need comfort and rest. HOSTEL LIFE guarantees full rest during sleeping hours and monitors the silence. It’s understood that young people are really communicative and like having fun and it is not easy to keep energy under control. However don’t forget that timetable, time zones and checking in time is different for the guests so keep a friendly and respectful attitude. This is actually the main rule of our hostel.

The bedrooms in HOSTEL LIFE are the place for rest and sleep not for fun and partying so if you want to invite guests, talk loudly, listen to music or have fun you have to ask your roommates for the permission. You’d better get on well with them if you want to have fun and make friends with them in advance.

HOSTEL LIFE is a great opportunity to socialize, make new friends, have fun and spend spare time in an active way for those who knows how to and wants to spend free time with fun. Taking it into account we are glad to offer you a large living room for different activities that you can use from 10.00 till 23.00. So your socializing won’t disturb anybody.

IN THE HOSTEL YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO:

	Smoke and use drugs. There are solid fines for smoking so try hard not to break our rules but spend time in a more productive way (cinema or Hermitage sound good). Drink alcohol or be drunk. Our policy is that we don’t accept guests who are wasted. What is more, if we find any alcohol in your room we will have to confiscate it. Be aggressive or disrespectful to other guests. Have guests before 13.00 or after 2.00. Make noise, listen to music or talk loudly from 23.00 till 10.00. Make noise, listen to music or talk loudly during day nap of your roommates (if you haven’t made an agreement in advance).

For breaking the rules hostel administration has the right to make you leave the hostel without giving you back the money for this night.
